2. PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION AND LEGAL BASIS

2.1. We collect personal data when you visit www.runningXpert.com (referred to as the "website") and other information when you purchase products or create a customer account. We also collect information when you contact us by email or chat.

2.3. When creating a customer account, we only use your first name, last name, and email address. By creating a customer account, you automatically opt-in to receive our newsletter. You may later provide additional information such as your address, gender, date of birth, running level, shoe size, and clothing size.

2.3.1. The purpose of collecting this information is to assist the customer in making a purchase, enable the use of features such as "My Favorite Products" and "Order Summary," and send newsletters and special offers. The collection also serves to optimize and control the content of newsletters.

2.3.2. The legal basis for collecting this information is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (consent).

2.4. When a customer makes a purchase on our website, their name, address, phone number, and the information mentioned in sections 2.2 and 2.3 will be recorded.

2.4.1. The purpose of recording this data is to fulfill the purchase you have made. In other words, this data is necessary for us to deliver your order and manage your rights regarding claims or other complaints. Additionally, it is necessary to comply with accounting and bookkeeping rules.

2.4.2. The legal basis for collecting this information is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (performance of a contract).


3. RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

3.1. Your name, address, email, phone number, and order number are personal data that are shared with the carrier responsible for delivering your order.

3.2. We share data with external partners. These partners are data processors and handle data on behalf of the data controller, RunningXpert Group ApS. These data processors handle data confidentially and under the instructions of RunningXpert.com and must not use the data for any purpose other than those specified by RunningXpert.com. Data is primarily shared with our partners responsible for the operation, development, and hosting of our servers and websites.

4. YOUR RIGHTS

4.1. Data Control
4.1.1. As stated in section 1.3, RunningXpert Group ApS is the data controller.

4.2. Access
4.2.1. If you wish to know how we use your information, you can contact us at serviceclient@runningxpert.com, as mentioned in section 1.3. If we hold information about you, you will have the opportunity to see what information we hold, the purpose of the data, who receives it, and its source.

4.2.2. Your requests will be processed within 4 weeks in an easily readable format. Please note that you may be required to provide documentation proving your identity to access the information.

4.3. Rectification
4.3.1. If you realize that your information is incorrect or false, or if it violates data protection laws, RunningXpert will correct or delete the information upon your request. Similarly, we will request any third parties to do the same, to the extent possible and not overly complicated.

4.3.2. Some of your information, provided during the creation of your customer account, can be modified or deleted by logging into your account on runningXpert.com.

4.4. Withdrawal of Consent
4.4.1. You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your data. This typically applies to consent given for receiving newsletters and special offers, or data collected during the creation of a customer account. Withdrawal of consent for newsletters/special offers can be done via a link in the emails or by contacting RunningXpert.com using the details provided in section 1.3. Withdrawal of consent for information provided during account creation, such as gender, date of birth, running level, and clothing/shoe size, can be done by contacting RunningXpert.com as outlined in section 1.3.

4.5. Right to Erasure
4.5.1. In certain cases, you have the right to request the deletion of your information. This can be done if we no longer have a legal basis to process your personal data after you have withdrawn your consent. However, you may not request the deletion of information that we are legally required to retain, such as for accounting purposes.

4.6. Right to Data Portability
4.6.1. The right to data portability means that you have the right to control your own data. You can contact us and request your data in an electronically readable format, and you have the right to transfer it to another data controller.

4.7. Right to Object

5. DELETION OF PERSONAL DATA

5.1. Information collected for your subscription to our newsletters and special offers will be deleted if you withdraw your consent and we no longer have the authority to use your data.

5.2. Information collected when ordering goods, including name, address, phone number, postal address, and list of ordered items, is retained for a minimum of 5 years.

5.3. Information collected via Google about your behavior when using www.runningXpert.com is automatically deleted after 50 months.

5.4. Information collected when opening a customer account is retained for the remainder of the year plus 3 years after the last activity on the account.


6. SECURITY

6.1. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure or access to personal data.

6.2. Only colleagues who need to access your personal data for their work have permission to do so.


7. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
